There’s a certain heaviness in realizing that someone who once seemed so genuine was only pretending. The pain of that discovery runs deep—knowing that what I thought was love was merely a façade, something shown to the world while being hollow and deceitful behind closed doors. It’s the kind of hurt that leaves me questioning everything, especially what to do next, as the weight of betrayal sinks in.
But then comes the clarity. “I can’t keep chasing what God is clearly trying to replace.” That moment when I understand that holding on any longer would only keep me stuck in something that’s no longer meant for me. It’s a painful truth, but it’s also liberating. I see now that God, or maybe life itself, is showing me that this chapter is done, and I need to make peace with letting go. It doesn’t come without sadness, but there’s also strength in accepting that some things just aren’t meant to last forever.
It’s not just about the hurt of being misled, though that’s real and raw. It’s about recognizing that there’s something better out there, something more aligned with who I am and what I deserve. I’ve realized that chasing after what’s already slipping away will only delay the healing and growth that comes with moving forward. Yes, there’s tension between the pain of loss and the hope for something new, but within that tension is the possibility of finding peace.
Letting go doesn’t feel like giving up—it feels like trusting in a higher purpose. Trusting that, even in the silence and the emptiness, there’s a plan for my life that holds more love and truth than what I’ve had to leave behind. There’s power in that realization. While I may still feel the sting of betrayal, I know that this is a step toward something greater.
It’s a journey, filled with both hurt and hope, but I choose to believe in the unseen, in the better things that are waiting ahead.
